I'm the founder of Dance Together NYC.
Thanks for stopping by!
I'm a licensed latin & ballroom dance instructor, movement therapist, dancer, choreographer, judge, and coach with over 15 years of experience teaching dance professionally.
Over the years, I've taught hundreds of students how to dance in the real world…
Say what? Dancing in the real world?
Yep, I knew that was going to intrigue you.
Here's a little bit more about my unique dance philosophy...
We've all heard about social dances like the Waltz, Foxtrot, and East Coast Swing. Now, these are great dances for a traditional wedding reception. The DJ usually plays standard dance music and you Waltz the night away.
That's fine and dandy if you hear Waltz music being played, but let’s be real, the probability of that happening on any given day is rather slim.
What if you could actually dance to popular music that's played on the radio?
What if you could dance the Hustle to Maroon 5, dance the East Coast Swing to Taylor Swift, or Rumba to Bruno Mars?
Is that even possible? It is.
After all, what's the sense of learning how to dance if you don't know how to dance when you go out at night with your friends or your significant other?
I like to call myself the ambassador for real-world social dance. It's my goal to teach you social dances and how to use what you’ve learned in common, everyday social outings and functions.
Just imagine…you could twirl around the dance floor with confidence at your friend's wedding reception, dance to the latest hits at a popular club with your partner, or simply enjoy going to dance parties and events.
No more waiting for the "right" dance song to be played by the DJ or come on the radio.
You'll be out on the dance floor and will have loads of fun, too!
Now, you might be on board with my dancing for the real world philosophy. But you might be saying, "Sure, I'd love to dance, but I've got two left feet," or "I have no rhythm or sense of timing! I'll never be able to dance."
I've heard a lot of these phrases over the years, but I'm going to share a secret with you about dance...
Everyone can learn how to dance. If you can walk, you can learn how to dance. It's as simple as that.
I've taught wedding couples, Hollywood movie stars, teenagers and seniors how to dance. I've taught people who initially thought they couldn't dance and have since taken up dance as a serious hobby.
If they can do it, so can you!
Dance is not only a sport, but a great self-improvement tool.
There's more to dancing than just learning what steps to take. You can learn more about yourself when you learn how to dance.
You can do things you never thought you'd be able to do before. You'll surprise yourself at your progress. And you'll have a whole bunch of fun in the process.
This is actually one of the reasons why I love teaching so much. I know I am not only helping people to learn how to dance, but I am also helping them change their lives for the better.
I encourage you to take a few moments to browse my website. You'll find a lot of information about my dance classes in New York, NY and Stamford, CT.
Do you have a question about a particular course, dance style, group or private lessons? Maybe you'd like to offer something unique to your employees through my corporate trainings? Or perhaps you'd like to learn more about my coaching services?
I'm here to make your dance learning experience a fun and fruitful one.
Thanks for reading. I'll see you on the dance floor!
