I’m a New York City-based Transformational Wedding Dance Coach.
I help recently engaged couples relieve stress, have more fun, and build stronger relationships through customized wedding dance instruction.
I’m a professional latin and ballroom dance coach, instructor, performer, choreographer, and trainer with over 15+ years of experience.
It’s my pleasure to help you create a beautiful wedding dance and introduce you and your partner to a hobby you’ll enjoy for years to come.
I started ballroom dancing as a young child in Germany. My parents, both avid social ballroom dancers, asked me if I wanted to try ballroom dancing at my local school. I said yes and I’ve never looked back since.
I completely fell in love with dance. I took dance lessons after school and on weekends, and eventually found a regular dance partner.
I competed professionally as a teenager and adult at the prestigious Blackpool Dance Festival in Blackpool, England. I even won the German State Dance Championship.
Years later, I received my master’s degree in physical education with a focus on Modern Dance Technique and Rehabilitation from the German Sport University in Cologne.
I eventually made my way to the United States where I taught at several New York City area latin and ballroom dance studios.
I’ve taught at events including the Brooklyn Museum of Art, Midsummer Night Swing at Lincoln Center and Ballet Hispanico.
I competed in The International Hustle & Salsa Congress, Hustle USA and the 5-Boro Dance Challenge.
I’ve appeared in numerous television and movie credits, including Enchanted, Boardwalk Empire, The TODAY Show, ABC News, Midsummer Night’s Swing at Lincoln Center, and the New York City Festival of Dance.
Nearly ten years ago, I decided to go off on my own and start my own company, Dance Together NYC. I wanted to share my love of dance with others and give my clients unparalleled, personalized dance instruction.
Since then, I've taught hundreds of students how to dance. But what excites me the most is the transformation people go through when they learn how to dance.
I’m extremely proud of working with people who didn’t think they could dance. I’ve heard it all…"Sure, I'd love to dance, but I've got two left feet," or "I have no rhythm or sense of timing! I'll never be able to dance."
Everyone can learn how to dance. If you can walk, you can learn how to dance. It's as simple as that.
I've taught wedding couples, Hollywood movie stars, teenagers, and seniors how to dance. I've taught people who thought they couldn't dance and eventually took up dance as a serious hobby.

You may be wondering, “What in the world is a Transformational Wedding Dance Coach?”
The way I see it, a wedding dance is not just a wedding dance. Your wedding dance should be both transformational and life-changing.
It’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for you and your partner to build a solid partnership together through the time-tested framework of latin and ballroom dance.
Right now, you may be thinking of your wedding dance as just another check on the checklist of wedding prep to-dos.
You hire a dance instructor to teach you and your fiancé(e) a wedding dance. Done. Finished.
There’s nothing wrong with that traditional approach. But what happens after that?
Sure, you’ll get your wedding photographs and videos and gush over the big day and how great you looked dancing.
But you’ll quickly forget those dance steps. You’ll eventually go back to your daily routines, this time as a married couple.
So much for all the time and effort you put into learning how to dance over the past few weeks.
But what if you could use your wedding dance as a springboard for a wonderful life together?
One that’s solidly built on trust, confidence, respect, and partnership? That’s where I come in.
I work with recently engaged couples and work with them through the wedding dance stage and beyond as a newly married couple.
When we work together, you’ll learn how to dance together as a couple.
You’ll learn your wedding dance (which will be awesome, by the way) in a way that looks natural, flowing, and is actually fun for you to dance.
We’ll also start to lay down solid foundations so you can have a strong partnership together once the wedding is over.
What’s more, you’ll cultivate an active physical hobby you both can enjoy together the rest of your lives in real-world common, everyday social outings and functions.
Or as I like to call it, “Dancing for the Real World.”
Twirl around the dance floor with confidence at your friend's wedding reception or dance to the latest hits at a popular club with your partner.
Say goodbye to waiting for the "right" song to play: you and your sweetheart will be too busy dancing and enjoying yourselves.
Dance is not only a sport, but a great self-improvement tool. You can learn a lot about yourself when you learn how to dance. You can do things you never thought you'd be able to do before.
You'll surprise yourself at your progress. And you'll have a whole bunch of fun in the process.
I’ve worked with couples and they’ve told me how much easier the last few weeks leading up to their wedding day was because of the time we spent together working on their dance and their role in working as a partnership together off the dance floor.
To be blunt, a whole lot!
Here’s a few things to consider when you’re thinking about your wedding dance lifelong future together:

A marriage isn’t about the ceremony or your wedding day. It’s about being a partner with one another and building your relationship so you can successfully weather the sunny skies and rocky storms you’ll face in life…together.
Making decisions as an individual is difficult enough, just think about deciding with someone else! You’ll learn how to make solid and thoughtful decisions. No longer are you simply deciding to do something together, but because it serves your partnership.
Want to build your self-confidence? Partner dancing can help with that! Even though you’re now on the same team, you still have to hold your own as an individual. You need to be a confident individual so you can make your partnership the best it can be.
Solve life’s problems and challenges together through the unique lens of physical movement. Your experiences in partner dancing are a mirror to how you navigate different situations, challenges, scenarios, and experiences.
Look, this marriage thing doesn’t exist in a vacuum. You must put in time and energy to make it work. But what if that meant fun regular date nights and regular dance parties where you get to spend quality time with one another? That’s a true win-win.
I’m pleased to offer new clients a special Get Started Intro Session that includes a 45 minute In-Person or Virtual Private Lesson and "What's Next" Exploration Session for 1 or 2 people.
In-Person Private Lessons are available in New York, NY and Stamford, CT. Virtual Private Lessons are available via Zoom.
