Our Online Couples Dance Classes Approach
Other dance studios teach popular social dances, such as the swing or salsa, with traditional music. While this can be fun, it can become tricky when you're out in the real world.
Those strict musical choices can be terribly limiting. When's the last time you heard swing or rumba music played at a popular club or party? What are you supposed to do? Sit out the dance?
We say, no way! It's time to get up and dance. In our classes, we teach you to actively listen to music that is being played and decide which dance would go best with it.
We mix things up in our classes by playing a wide range of music, contemporary pop hits, standards, and other fun songs too.
No matter where you are in the world, enjoying your best friend's outdoor wedding reception, celebrating your parents' wedding anniversary at a restaurant, or just going out on the town to different clubs or parties, you’ll be able to dance.
You'll learn a variety of dance styles that are perfect for weddings, parties, restaurants, and more, including the rumba, swing, hustle, cha cha and salsa. You'll be a more flexible dancer and will have a lot of fun and enjoyment in the process.
We are pleased to offer a non-judgmental environment for learning dance. Couples from all walks of life are welcome in our classes.

We decided to try dance lessons during the pandemic because we were looking for ways to have fun at home, and we thought dancing might be a substitute for the date nights we used to enjoy out in the world. We weren't sure whether it would be fun to take dance lessons over Zoom or whether we could learn effectively in that format. We've been so pleasantly surprised!
Simone is a fantastic teacher and a wonderful person, and we look forward to every lesson with her. After starting as complete novices with salsa and swing, we developed the tools to dance our way through songs on our own after just a handful of lessons...and now we're hooked!
No matter the song, when we’re in the kitchen or the living room, we find ourselves dancing the steps. We've been so impressed with how Simone has coached us through the basics with patience and a great sense of humor. Whether in private lessons or with a group, she makes it a pleasure to learn and refine new steps.
Another thing: when we were looking for a place to take lessons, it was really important to us to work with a studio that was gender-inclusive and queer-positive, and we feel lucky to have found Simone, who does such a beautiful job at making dance accessible and exciting for everyone. Oh...and the Zoom dance parties are amazing!!
